Pieced Christmas Table Runner

Quick check in: I finished piecing a Christmas table runner top for my dining room table. My plan is to quilt it this weekend.

I only used about 33 of the 5" squared for the table runner so I have a few left over for ornament backs, etc.

Happy stitching everyone!

WIPocalypse Official Check-in: May

It's time for another WIPocalypse check in. I worked on and completed 2 projects from my list.

1.) First up we have NOEL. I can only seem to find the last progress pick but I only needed to finish the N which is done. This is going to be made into an ornie for my Grandparents in Law.

2.) in my previous post I finished the Winter Mandala.

Not bad with 2 finishes. My post is only 5 days late too so I guess that isn't too bad.

The Prompt for this month was:
What designs or themes do you really wish you could find?  What do you think is missing among stitching designs?

For a long time, I thought there was a lack of architectural pieces. but there have been additions recently by Thea Gouverneur for example. Otherwise, there are not really any designs that I have been looking for recently that I could not find.

Happy Stitching everyone!

back from my hiatus with a finish! (Turtle Trot and WIPocalypse)

So I took an unintended hiatus from my blog to get my life organized, take a trip for work and spend quality time with my dear husband.  I also took some time to stitch, which is always a good thing.

As a matter a Fact, I finished the Winter Mandala and took all 4 to get framed.

I also took a picture of them all completed together on the Framer's table. It gave me a great sense of accomplishment to call them done.

This also knocked one more off of my Combined WIPocalypse and Turtletrot list. All in all it was a productive few weeks. Hopefully, I will have some more to show including a table runner or 2 and some curtains.

Happy stitching everyone!

Monthly Goals Check-in

My Goals for March were very stretching and my progress was mixed:

1.) Complete Pinky Baby Blanket - YES
2.) Complete stitching on 3 Christmas ornaments - YES - 2 Ink Circles and NOEL
3.) Start Winter Mandala - YES - completed the black outline and some color
4.) Completely finish the Advent Calendar - NO - didn't even pick it up
5.) Complete 4 placemat sets and 1 Table Runner - NO only 35% - patriotic table runner needs bound, christmas table runner top was laid out and is partially sewn together, completed Ohio State Placemats.
6.) Digitize craft inventory - NO only 30% complete - finished yarn only
7.) Stitch from my Stash - YES - even have carryover to next month
8.) Blog twice per week - YES in number meaning that I blogged 8 times this month but NO they were not spread out evenly over the month with 2 per week.

So based upon the mixed progress for March, here are my goals for the month of April:
1.) Complete the Winter Mandala
2.) Complete the binding on the Patriotic Table Runner
3.) Complete the Christmas Table runner top and quilt it together.
4.) Complete the geometric placemats.
5.) complete 10" of the Seed Stitch project
6.) Work on another of my WIP/Turtle Trot Projects
7.) Stich From my Stash

Hopefully it will be achievable! Happy stitching everyone!
