March IHSW Results

I figured I would post my IHSW results. I know that I should have done this on Monday but it has been a busy week to say the least!

I started and completed "Whatever" by Lizzie and Kate.
Here is a close up of the stitching!

Here is it finished!
Sorry for the wrinkles but I wanted to take the pic as soon as I was done with it! Behind the finish you can see the highlighted chart of Sidney the Penguin which is the other project I worked on!
Starting point on Friday evening!

When I stopped on Sunday Evening

All that is left to complete on Sidney the Penguin us a little Grey by his wings, one foot, the teal accents in hat/scarf and minimal backstitching. He is too cute! I am not sure what to do with him once he is complete... I am thinking something along the lines of a journal cover but that could change.

My plan for this week/weekend is to complete Sidney and get some work on the "Lady and the Flag"

Happy Stitching!

Forgot the TUSAL link

I totally forgot the link to the totally useless stitch-a-long ( TUSAL ) in my last post. This link takes you to Daffycat's blog :)

On a side note...I got some more work on Sidney complete and hope to have him finished by the end of IHSW this weekend.

TUSAL and Stash additions

I am only a day late for my TUSAL update. Here is my ORT jar for this month only. (I plan on combining them later).

I have spent the time since my last post working on two projects:
Sidney - "The Penguin"
Where I left off on 2/28/2013

Progress as of 3/12/2013
I have also spent time working on the MOD Coasters. I found that the plastic is very flexible so cutting it into more manageable sizes made the stitching go much faster than when it was in a full 8.5X11 sheet.
Left of 2/13/2013

Progress as of 3/10/2013
Finally, I went to a LNS near my brother's home prior to watching my nephew for a little stash shopping. Little did I know it was there "Market Day" following the Nashville Market. There was so much to choose from but the picture of what I purchased can be found below.

I found 2 great Mirabilia patterns. The colors on these 2 were mazing. I also found some hand-dyed fabric and a few other things. I cannot wait to use it all.

All in all, it was a productive 2 weeks on the stitching front and a great shopping trip.
Happy stitching everyone!
